Cuba Tour: Learn Spanish in Cuba
Our 2 week Learn Spanish in Cuba programme is the perfect way to really improve your Spanish and absorb the local culture, whilst getting to know various parts of Cuba including Havana, Vinales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Santa Clara.
The first week is spent in Havana where you will have intensive Spanish lessons and stay in homestay accommodation where you practise your Spanish and really get to know the locals. Havana, the capital of Cuba, is a fascinating city with its colonial architecture, vibrant culture and nightlife.
The second week is spent discovering Western and Central Cuba, accompanied by your teacher, improving your Spanish and learning about the local culture and people.

‘ I found the Spanish classes really good and well tailored to my needs although it helped being one of the only students at the time. Tourism had only just opened back up in Cuba. All of the accommodation was really nice and I had more than enough space even when I was travelling outside Havana with the school. Flights
Although we do not book flights for you, we can certainly advise you on the best routes and scheduled flights for your trip.
Travel Insurance
Please ensure you arrange comprehensive travel insurance for your trip including repatriation costs. This is a legal requirement imposed by the Cuban government and you may be asked to present a copy of your policy at immigration when you enter Cuba.
Entry Visa
All visitors to Cuba require a visa to enter the country known as a tourist card. We can provide you with this in digital format and it costs £30. If you are flying from the US, you must purchase your tourist card from an authorised US travel company. The visa is valid for 90 days from the date you enter Cuba. Please note that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry to Cuba.

The school in Havana is closed on public holidays, and where a public holiday falls on a Monday, the course will start on the Tuesday. Any missed lessons will be rescheduled.
Guaranteed Departure
The Spanish travelling course is guaranteed to take place and there is no minimum number of students required.
Week 1
Sunday Arrive Havana
Arrive Havana airport and private transfer to homestay. Half board homestay accommodation in Havana x 5 nights
Monday – Friday Havana
Intensive Spanish Course at our school in Havana, 20 group lessons + cultural activities throughout the week (e.g. city tour, visit to rum or cigar factory).
Friday Havana – Viñales
Depart in the afternoon for Viñales, famous for its spectacular landscapes including the mogote limestone cliffs and tobacco fields. Arrive Viñales, orientation and free time. Homestay accommodation in Viñales x 2 nights
Saturday Viñales
Visits to Cueva del Indio, the Prehistoric Mural, Palenque, a local tobacco farm and also a viewpoint with panoramic views of the valley. Salsa in the evening.
Sunday Viñales – Havana
Free day for optional activities such as horse riding or an excursion to the pristine beach on Cayo Jutias. Group transfer to return to Havana in the evening. Homestay accommodation in Havana x 1 night

Week 2
Monday Havana – Cienfuegos
Depart Havana for Cienfuegos. 2 Spanish classes + 2 cultural lessons such as city tour, Parque José Martí, Teatro Terry 1889, Malecón, Punta Gorda, Palacio Valle. Optional activities: Cabaret, Casa de la Música. Homestay accommodation in Cienfuegos x 1 night
Tuesday Cienfuegos – Trinidad
Depart Cienfuegos for Trinidad. 2 Spanish classes + 2 cultural lessons such as city tour, Plaza Mayor, Museo Histórico, Museo Romántico. Homestay accommodation in Trinidad x 2 nights
Wednesday Trinidad
2 Spanish classes + 2 cultural lessons such Valle de los Ingenios, Torre Manaca-Iznaga. Optional activities: Ancón beach, Casa de la Trova, salsa night.
Thursday Trinidad – Santa Clara
Depart Trinidad for Santa Clara. 2 Spanish classes + 2 cultural lessons such as city tour, Parque Vidal, Teatro La Caridad, Che Guevara Mausoleum, Tren Blindado. Homestay accommodation in Santa Clara x 1 night
Friday Santa Clara – Havana
Depart Santa Clara for Havana in the afternoon. Homestay accommodation in Havana x 1 night.
Saturday Havana
Check-out of homestay.
