We offer the following courses:
Learn English in Edinburgh, the cosmopolitan and dynamic capital city of Scotland with a rich offering of history at every corner. From its world famous castle dominating the skyline, world class art galleries and national museums, winding streets of the Old Town and impressive Georgian architecture of the UNESCO designated New Town, there is so much to see and admire. Edinburgh is also known as the Festival City, with cultural festivals all year round and home to the largest international arts festival in the world every August.

Our School
For all courses except home tuition (see below for details of this type of intensive course), lessons are taught at a small, friendly, family-run school located right in the heart of Edinburgh and easily reached from all areas of the city. The 18th century building housing the school is close to cafes, restaurants, shops and parks and the main shopping area on Princes street is just a short walk away. Coffee and tea facilities are available as well as a well stocked library with books, magazines and other learning resources.
Public Holidays
Our school does not close on public holidays and classes will be held as normal on those days. However, it is closed for an annual holiday at Christmas and New Year – please get in touch for exact dates.
Cultural Activities and Excursions
All Intensive and Combination English courses include one afternoon excursion per week to a place of cultural interest, either outside or within Edinburgh. For full details of the English Plus cultural tours, please refer to the tab below.
Excursions are an extra opportunity to practise your English listening skills, talk to other students and visit places of interest. Popular excursions include a whisky distillery, castles, historic houses, palaces and local typical villages.
Transfers
Transfers from Edinburgh Airport can be arranged at the cost of £50 each way and collection from other airports is available on request

Our themed Plus English learning tours run on scheduled dates throughout the year for a maximum of 6 clients. Each tour runs for 6 days, from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon. Three full days are based in and around Edinburgh and 3 full day trips take place outside of Edinburgh.
This is an ideal way to learn more about Scotland and improve your English on an active learning adventure and means that you do not have to choose between booking an English course and having a holiday in Scotland – these tours combine both options!
On each of the tours, there are always be two native English language speakers. One is a professionally qualified Scottish tourist guide and the other a qualified English language teacher. A maximum of 6 clients means that each person has the opportunity to hear native English language being spoken and to practise communication skills too.
English language practice is introduced throughout the day in a natural way. Short English lessons will be held at the places being visited or at our English school in central Edinburgh. All lessons are taught by professionally qualified teachers, with vocabulary and grammar notes included. You will have plenty of opportunity to practise new vocabulary during the tours and your teacher is there to help with any language matters. Your tour guide is there to answer questions about Scotland and the locations you are visiting.
We offer learning tours with different themes such as Food and Drink; Natural Scotland; Historic Houses and Castles; Glasgow and Edinburgh. Please ask us for a more detailed programme for each tour.
Each tour costs £tbc and does not include accommodation.
