You will travel around some of the most beautiful places on the island on a round trip. Starting in the colonial capital city of Havana, a guided cycle around iconic areas of the city is followed by a tour in a classic 50s American car. The next day you will cycle to the El Rosario biosphere reserve where the local community was involved in a model reforestation project and where there is an optional exciting tree top zipline ride before driving to Playa Jibacoa on the other side of Havana city.
Snorkelling and exploring local caves the next day, you will have lunch at an organic farm before driving on to the town of Santa Clara, where the iconic Che Guevara museum is found. Onwards to the Topes de Collantes national park for hiking and waterfall swimming, and then drive to the UNESCO world heritage town of Trinidad. Here there is an opportunity to learn how to dance salsa and to explore this historic city, with its well preserved and colourful colonial architecture.
Your tour continues up to Cienfuegos, called the ‘Pearl of the South’, where you have a kayaking trip in Cienfuegos Bay, before heading back to Havana for the last night in Cuba before ending your tour.
IMPORTANT: You must have a reasonable level of fitness in order to participate in this trip.
