School Group Trips to Cuba – Culture and Adventure

Cuba is an ideal country for school group trips as it is safe, relatively small and very welcoming to young people.  Our school group Culture and Adventure tours have been running since 1998 and are fully endorsed by the Cuban Ministry of Culture.

All our tours are tailormade, and can include culture and adventure in many forms, from dance and music workshops to community project involvement; from volunteer work in a national park to hiking and camping in rural areas; visiting coffee and tobacco plantations and meeting local people to learn about what  makes this fascinating country so special. You decide, we organise!

Accommodation in carefully selected homestays or in local hotels with all meals are included from start to finish, and our experienced bilingual Cuban tour leader will ensure that your tour runs smoothly and safely.

  • Duration:  12 days
  • Start dates:  All year round
  • Cost:  on request

“I loved Havana. Having read so much about Cuba it was great to be there and see the things for myself. I especially loved El Malecon and when I go back (which I will!) I would love to take the time to walk along it and see all the sights along there”

RL, Borders Exploration Group, Summer 2012

This school group trip to Cuba is based on a 14 day itinerary including cultural workshops, volunteer work with local communities, camping and trekking in the Pico Turquino national park and some well deserved recreational beach time towards the end of the tour.  We carefully design all itineraries in close consultation with group leaders to ensure that the trip meets all of their requirements, and can organise shorter or longer tours on request.

Accommodation is provided in local hotels, approved homestays or in national park refuges and campsites. All meals are included and plenty of water too.

Our specialist local guides and bilingual tour leaders accompany the group throughout the tour to make sure that the trip runs smoothly and safely and all transport providers are licenced and Cuban state approved.

“I loved La Comandancia because of my interest in Cuban history.  It really brought it to life for me.  The guides were great, very knowledgeable.  The stop for fruit and coffee at La Medina farmhouse was a nice touch”
