Travel to Cuba from the US
Given the recent tightening of travel to Cuba from the US (announced on 4 June 2019), we would like to reassure you that you can still travel legally from the US to Cuba, or from a third country via a US airport to Cuba. You can still have your dream trip in Cuba! Our tailormade Cuba itineraries comply with the ‘Support for the Cuban People’ category as follows:
- we include a full schedule of activities engaging with Cuban people and communities
- we include accommodation in licensed private Cuban homestays (casas particulares)
- we can include meals at licensed private Cuban restaurants (paladares) if not at your homestay accommodation
- we schedule free time as befits a full time itinerary i.e. enough down-time to allow you to rest and relax on a daily basis
You will have to organise your visa with an authorised US travel company to allow you to enter Cuba, but that is a relatively simple process. At the time of writing, the visa costs US$85 and can be booked online.
If you are an American citizen planning on travelling to Cuba, or are travelling from any other country via a US airport to Cuba, get in touch with us to discuss your plans and let us organise an incredible (and legal) trip of a lifetime.
