Cuba holidays 2022

Reading Time: 3 minutes

After over 20 months of waiting patiently for travel to be resumed again, we are delighted to confirm that Cuba is officially welcoming international travellers back to the island from today, 15 November 2021.

Thanks to the advancement of the vaccination process, 70% of the Cuban population is now fully vaccinated, and over 90% has had at least one dose of one of the Cuban vaccines. Cuban children are also being vaccinated and they are gradually returning to schools and universities after so long studying from home.

All services in the country, including cultural activities, are being resumed.  Homestay and hotel accommodation is available to overseas visitors, guided activities and excursions are back on track and domestic transport is gearing up for Cuba wide travel.  Our options for Cuba Tours 2022 are outlined below, so we hope you find something to tempt you back to the island.

DANCE AND MUSIC HOLIDAYS

Our popular small group salsa holidays will be starting from 16 January 2022, with scheduled trips throughout the year.   Tuition is provided with our experienced, enthusiastic and ever-patient team of professional Cuban dancers and they also come out with us on organised nights out to live music dance venues in the city.

Customised salsa, percussion and Spanish courses can be arranged on request in both Havana and Santiago de Cuba all year round too.

We also have an intensive Afro-Cuban dance holiday which can take place at any time, all year round, for 1-2 weeks. This trip focuses on the rich Afro-Cuban heritage of Santiago de Cuba and includes some special local activities which would not usually be accessible to visitors.

Finally, in March and May 2022 we are delighted to see the return of our intensive Cuban music holiday, with daily music lessons given by professional musicians, nights out with your music tutors and plenty of opportunity to play music and meet local musicians.

HIKING AND BIKING

We have two options for cycling tours in the central and western provinces; a two week guided tour with scheduled departures and a one week guided trip organised on a customised basis to suit your travel dates. Both are fully supported with a local guide and support vehicle from start to finish, and follow routes along rural highways and coastal roads. Bikes are provided too, so all you need to bring is yourself, a helmet and a water bottle.

If you are looking for a Cuban activity holiday, we have just the trip for you!  A one week fully guided, action packed round trip from Havana which includes ziplining, snorkelling, cycling and hiking in the central provinces, with enough down time to recharge your batteries along the way.

SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES and SPANISH CUBA TOUR

We can organise Spanish language tuition in either Havana or Santiago de Cuba at any time of the year, from just one week to as long as you wish. However, if you want to travel around Cuba and explore some of the island whilst you learn, then our Cuba Tour programme is ideal.  Even a little bit of Spanish goes a long way in Cuba, so how about joining this small group tour accompanied by your local Spanish language tutor. Make the most out of learning and experiencing Cuba on the road, with small group scheduled departures all year round.

We are truly happy that we will be starting to work in Cuba again.  This unique and beautiful island has a very special place in our hearts, and we love to share our knowledge and experience with you. Let us help you find out more about the rich culture, history, architecture and almost unexplored natural paradises all over Cuba.

Please get in touch with us on info@caledoniaworldwide.com if you would like to discuss any of the trips above, or to have a friendly chat about a more customised itinerary to suit your personal circumstances.

Hasta pronto!
